Founded June 3, 2009, the Vancouver UFO / UAP Group has been one of Vancouver’s most active and consistent communities for people interested in UFOs (UAP), extraterrestrial contact, and consciousness research.

We host regular in‑person and online events featuring discussions, presentations, experiencer sharing, and guest speakers.

Vancouver’s Long History of UFO Research

Vancouver has a long and fascinating history of UFO interest and investigation.

Organizations such as UFOBC.ca — active since the 1980s — continue to contribute valuable work by carefully documenting and recording UFO sightings across British Columbia.

Going back even further, groups like the Vancouver Flying Saucer Club were active in the late 1950s, hosting speakers such as Wilbert Brockhouse Smith, a Canadian engineer who led Project Magnet, an early Transport Canada study of UFO phenomena.

Continuing the Tradition Today

The Vancouver UFO Meetup Group – Preparing for Contact continues this tradition by hosting:

  • Experiencer‑friendly gatherings

Events are led by Brian Ruhe, with frequent participation from Grant Cameron, one of Canada’s foremost UFO researchers.
